You become smart when you don't need to quote someone anymore." I am still stupid: I quoted Chuck Palahniuk” ― Chuck Palahniuk
The other day I was playing around with two of the things that I like to do when in the mood to write but I haven't gotten a coherent enough topic just yet to blabber on about. I was looking for new words on my dictionary as well as checking out quotes from my favorite authors and poets.
I went and fired up my favorite search engine for quotes and whatnot where I found myself drawn to the entrapping words of one of my favorite authors, Chuck Palahniuk. His incendiary style of narration and the provocative manner in which he plays out the scenes in his books have left me in awe of his mind.
I mean, how unique and raw must his view of the norm must be for his imagination to be in a whole new dimension and category of creativity that he can describe every single minute detail so vividly that I was (and still am) afraid to finish one of his novels in dread for the seemingly impossible conundrum that the protagonist faces after only just a few pages.
This incredibly gory and well-thought out author writes in a way that I have never would have even begun to imagine on my journey to becoming a person that can someday be deemed to be called a writer. And since I most certainly am no where near the same parsec on which this literary genius stands upon, I shall be "stupid" and own that stupidity by the rationalization that Mr. Palahniuk's words, hopefully without too much dissent by him, will serve as inspiration to the next posts that I'll be writing henceforth indefinitely.
I could not have hoped for a better writer to have his words jump out to speak to me than the incendiary Chuck Palahniuk. One of the greatest, most enigmatic forces that have permeated the desire to create literature as well.
