Located at the top floor of Makati Cinema Square, through the corner aisles of kiosks filled with different kinds of knockoffs and gadgets for sale, there's a curtain of black fabric dividing the main area of the mall to their resident MMA and Boxing Gym.

On any given day, you would most likely not notice that thin black curtain hanging by a wooden scaffold.

Yes, my friends, professional wrestling has come to the Philippines!! And unlike the other popular pro-wrestling leagues, this company has made this production uniquely pinoy and incredibly compelling down to the last round of brawling.
I was lucky enough to be invited by a friend of mine to join him in one of his latest incredible finds last September 26, 2015, and I was from then on a #pwr fan convert.
Thirty minutes early to the start of the festivities I find my jaw dropping in surprise when I head to meet my friend already in line with dozens of other fans waiting to pass through the black curtain into the event's area. This is the first time that I came to any event where the excitement in the air was so electric and happy that I was soon hopping up and down in anticipation for the event to start.
Once inside, I was coached by my buddy on the main cheer that the audience usually say during the rounds:
That cheer resounded throughout the night and never got old. Instead it got more and more fun to say that there was a moment that it became "shoe" due to one of the wrestlers loosing one of his chucks during a round.
From the opening fight of wrestler Vintendo up to the last of Ken Warren winning to the shouts of "Warren sucks!", the 3 or so hours that you spend watching, cheering, and drinking won't have a dull moment. Tag team fights, other wrestlers butting into the matches of the others, rivalries, championships, no holds barred rounds with slippers and sitaw as weapons and a lot more theatrics were brought out by PWR in a way that was able to unite the whole audience into one big group of buddies sharing their enjoyment with whomever sat next to them as if we all came in together.

With wrestlers like Mark D. Manalo, Kanto Terror, and so much more unique fighters, this five year old sports league can expect a steady incline in popularity from here on out because personally, I can't think of anything more fun way to spend a saturday night than to watch pinoy wrestling.
